Access
To access to the PhD program in Intelligent and Adaptable Software Systems it will be necessary to satisfy the conditions laid down in Article 19, paragraph 2 of the RD 1393/2007.
Nevertheless, also could access to the program those students who are in possession of a bachelor, engineer or architect degree if they were in possession of the Spanish Diploma of Advanced Studies, obtained in accordance with the provisions of the Spanish Regulation published on the RD 778/1998, 30 April, or if they had reached the Research Aptitude regulated by the RD 185/1985 of 23 January.
Admission
Accordingly to the verified Memory of the Program. To be admitted to the research period of the PhD Program in Intelligent and Adaptable Software Systems is necessary to satisfy any of the following conditions:
- Have completed 60 credits on the Masters degree in Intelligent and Adaptiable Software Systems from the University of Vigo, according to the conditions set forth in this section. Overcoming these 60 ECTS involve obtaining the Master Degree in Intelligent and Adaptable Software Systems from the University of Vigo.
- To be in possession of a Master degree regulated by the RD 1393/2007, subject to confirmation by the University that the degree attest to a level of education equivalent to the referred to in paragraph 1), notwithstanding that in this case could be established as necessary a previous additional training. In any case this Master's degree must be verified as a training period of a PhD program regulated by the RD 1393/2007.
- To have completed 60 ECTS of training that include a Master's degree regulated by the RD 1393/2007. This condition will be subject to confirmation by the University of that overcoming these credits certifies an educational level equivalent to that referred to in paragraph 1), notwithstanding that in this case could be established as necessary a previous additional training. In any case this Master's degree must be verified as a training period of a PhD program regulated by the RD 1393/2007.
- To hold a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA), obtained in accordance with the provisions of RD 778/1998 spanish regulation, preferably those which correspond to the following PhD programs:
- Advanced Technologies for Intelligent Software Development at the University of Vigo
- Software Engineering based on reusable components, applications on Human-Computer Interfaces at the University of Vigo
- Other programs covered by the RD 778/1998 after evaluation by the Academic Committee of the program that the training received by the student is suitable for their admission to the research period.
- To have obtained sufficient research, regulated by the RD 185/1985, after evaluation by the Academic Committee of the training received by the student.
- To be in possession of a degree with the same level that the Master's degree in Intelligent and Adaptable Software Systems from the University of Vigo, issued by an institution of higher education in the European Higher Education Area and empowered in the country of origin for access to doctoral studies. In this case the University of Vigo must verify that the degree certifies an educational level equivalent to that referred to in paragraph 1), notwithstanding that in this case could be necessary a previous additional training. Access by this route does not imply its recognition for purposes other than those to be admitted to the Research Period of the PhD program.
- To be in possession of a degree from educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area without the approval of his title, after verification by the University that the degree certifies that the level of training is equivalent to those of the paragraph 1) and which empowers in their country the qualification for admission into PhD programs. Access by this route does not imply in any case the approval of the original title in the possession of the person concerned, nor its recognition to other effects that those to allow her/him to access to the research period of the doctoral program.
- To be enrolled in the period of supervision within an Official Postgraduate Programme with the title of Doctor regulated by the spanish RD 56/2005, after the evaluation by the Academic Committee that the training received by the student is suitable for their admission on the research period of the PhD program.
- To be in possession of a Higher Education title and have completed a minimum of 60 ECTS into an official Postgraduate Programme with the title of Doctor regulated by the RD 56/2005, after evaluation by the Academic Committee that the training received by the student is suitable for admission into the research period of the PhD Program.
